Grief and Loss
Grief is a natural response to losing someone or something deeply important to you.
It’s more than just sadness. Grief can show up as sorrow, anger, guilt, confusion, emptiness, or even moments of relief. It may feel sharp and overwhelming, quiet and numbing, or isolating and unpredictable. There is no right or wrong way to grieve, and no emotion is off-limits.
Loss isn’t limited to death. Grief can arise after the end of a relationship, the loss of a job, a medical diagnosis, a major life transition, a move, or even the loss of a dream or identity (like becoming a parent and struggling to reconnect with your sense of self). Anytime life changes in a way that feels significant and irreversible, grief can follow.
Grief touches every part of us: emotionally, physically, mentally, and spiritually. It can affect sleep, appetite, energy, concentration, and how we see and move through the world. Grief isn’t linear; it’s deeply personal, with no timeline and no one-size-fits-all path.
I like to think of grief as a wound that over time becomes a scar; it’s a constant reminder of our love, our loss, and the growth we experience along the way. Grief is the process of adjusting to a world that has changed.
In our work together, you’ll find a space where your grief is honored and held with warmth, compassion, and care. You don’t have to navigate this alone..
Anxiety
Anxiety is a natural response to stress, uncertainty, or fear. It’s our mind and body’s way of trying to protect us, but sometimes it can become overwhelming, intrusive, and exhausting. Anxiety can show up in many ways: racing thoughts, constant worry, restlessness, irritability, difficulty concentrating, trouble sleeping, or even physical symptoms like headaches or stomachaches.
While anxiety is a normal part of being human, it can begin to interfere with daily life, relationships, and your sense of peace. It can feel like living in a constant state of worry or fear, always expecting the worst to happen.
Anxiety doesn't always have one clear cause. It can stem from past experiences, current stressors, uncertainty about the future, or patterns we have developed overtime to cope with a world that can feel unpredictable. No matter the cause, anxiety is real, and it deserves to be met with care, warmth, and without judgment.
In our work together, we will create a space where your anxiety can be safely explored and understood. We will work on developing skills and tools to help you quiet your thoughts, feel more grounded in your daily life, celebrate and acknowledge small wins, and strengthen your ability to focus on the positive.
I’m here to listen, support, and guide through this process.
